Niagara Region Long Term Care and Wellness Centres

We were retained by MMMC Architects to work with the Niagara Region on the development of the interior design program for their two new long-term care residences.

The new residence design includes smaller homelike households of 16 residents with shared common spaces creating a more residential and intimate scale. The furniture, furnishings, artwork and signage program we are developing will bring colour, pattern and vibrancy to the interior environment, further reinforcing the residential quality of the spaces. The residence also includes a Wellness Centre that will provide services for the residents, their families and the community at large.

Our focus is to design an interior environment that promotes the health, well-being and independence of all residents as well as creating a healthy work environment for staff. The projects are pursuing WELL Building Standard certification.
