Prominence Retirement Residence

We worked with Reichmann Seniors Housing on the development of the interior design programs for four of their new retirement homes and recently completed the Prominence Retirement Residence in Calgary which included a 54-bed DAL Floor (Designated Assisted Living) divided into four resident home areas. The design and planning of the Assisted Living Resident Home Areas had to meet the stringent requirements of Alberta Health and therefore followed a more medical model.

The Calgary residence is contemporary in design and the rich material colour palette is taken from the surrounding landscape. Our work included the selection and specification of interior finishes and colours, light fixture selection and placement recommendations, as well as development of working drawings related to common area millwork. The scope also included the selection and specification of furniture and furnishings including window coverings, artwork, signage and decorative accessories. We worked closely with the client group, the architects and other design team members to ensure the interiors enhanced the architecture, were appropriate for the community, the residents and family, and were in budget and achieved their
marketing objectives.

Outstanding Result: The overall building and interior successfully met the Owners’ objectives and position within the marketplace.
